Coming Soon — Advanced TMS Treatment at Total Mind Wellness Group
A New Approach to Treating Depression, OCD, and Anxious Depression
When medications and psychotherapy haven't provided sufficient relief, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) may offer another path forward.
At Total Mind Wellness Group, we are excited to introduce advanced TMS therapy using the Magstim Horizon Inspire system, offering a personalized, noninvasive treatment approach for individuals struggling with persistent depression and related psychiatric conditions.
What Is TMS Therapy?
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an FDA-cleared, noninvasive treatment that uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate specific regions of the brain involved in mood regulation.
Unlike medications, TMS does not circulate throughout the body. Treatment requires no anesthesia or sedation, and patients can typically resume their normal activities immediately afterward.
Conditions We Plan to Treat

Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD)
For individuals who continue to experience depressive symptoms despite antidepressant medications, TMS offers an alternative approach that may help improve mood, motivation, energy, and overall functioning.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
For patients experiencing persistent obsessions and compulsions despite medication and specialized psychotherapy, certain FDA-cleared TMS protocols may provide additional symptom relief. TMS may be incorporated alongside established treatments, including exposure and response prevention (ERP).

Anxious Depression
Depression frequently occurs alongside excessive worry, restlessness, and persistent anxiety. TMS may help improve both depressive symptoms and associated anxiety in individuals with major depressive disorder.
Advanced Technology. Personalized Treatment.
We have selected the Magstim Horizon Inspire TMS system, an advanced technology designed to deliver precise, targeted magnetic stimulation.
Magstim technology supports individualized treatment parameters, allowing our clinicians to tailor treatment protocols to each patient's clinical needs.
At Total Mind Wellness Group, we combine advanced technology with comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, personalized treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring to provide a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care.
What to Expect During TMS Treatment
TMS is performed in an outpatient setting while you remain awake and alert. A specialized magnetic coil is positioned near the scalp to deliver controlled magnetic pulses to targeted brain regions.
Treatment typically involves multiple sessions per week over several weeks, depending on the protocol and individual needs.
TMS is generally well tolerated, with temporary headache or scalp discomfort among the most common side effects. Serious adverse events, including seizures, are rare.
Does Insurance Cover TMS?
Many commercial insurance plans cover TMS for treatment-resistant depression when medical necessity criteria are met.
Coverage for OCD and other indications varies by insurance provider and individual plan. Our team can help review insurance eligibility and authorization requirements.
